Best Time To Visit Lavasa
Lavasa is a year-round destination but the experience varies significantly by season.
Monsoon: June to September ⭐ Most Scenic
Temperature: 18°C – 28°C
Lavasa transforms during monsoon. The lake fills to capacity, waterfalls appear on the surrounding hills and the whole landscape turns intensely green. The promenade looks beautiful in the rain and the Tamhini Ghat road nearby becomes one of Maharashtra's most spectacular drives.
Best for: Photography, scenic drives, lakeside walks in the rain
Note: Boat rides may be restricted during heavy rain
October to November ⭐ Best Overall
Temperature: 18°C – 30°C
Post-monsoon is arguably the best time — the landscape is still lush, the lake is full, the weather is pleasant and outdoor activities are all available. Fewer crowds than the winter peak.
December to February
Temperature: 12°C – 25°C
Cool and clear. Good for walks, cycling and outdoor dining. The lake level is still good from the monsoon rains. Some cold nights make for a cosy villa stay.
March to May
Temperature: 24°C – 36°C
Warmer but lake activities are still available. Fewer crowds and lower prices. The greenery fades but the lake remains the main attraction.
