How To Reach Lavasa

Lavasa is 60 km from Pune. There is no train service and no reliable public transport to Lavasa — a private car or taxi is the only practical option.

From Pune (60 km — 1.5 to 2 hours)

Via Paud Road (recommended): Take Paud Road from Kothrud, pass through Pirangut, and follow the Lavasa signs from Pirangut. This route passes through the Sahyadri foothills and is the most scenic approach. Journey time: 1.5 hours.

Via NH48: Take the Pune–Bangalore highway (NH48), exit at Khamboli toward Paud, then follow signs to Lavasa. Slightly faster in heavy city traffic.

By Taxi: Pune to Lavasa one-way: ₹1500–2200. Book an outstation taxi from Pune in advance — app-based cabs typically do not operate to Lavasa.

From Mumbai (130 km — 3 to 3.5 hours)

Drive via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway to Pune, then follow the Paud Road route. No direct public transport from Mumbai — take a bus or train to Pune, then a taxi to Lavasa.

Gate Entry

Lavasa is a private gated township. A vehicle entry pass is required at the main gate — available on arrival. Day-visitor fees apply (₹100–200 depending on day and vehicle type). Overnight guests staying at a registered property are typically exempt or receive a discounted pass — your host can advise on the current process.

Google Maps: search "Lavasa City" to navigate to the main gate.
