Places To Visit in Lavasa

Dasve Promenade

The main promenade of Lavasa facing Warasgaon Lake. Colourful buildings in Italian hill-town style, cafes, restaurants and the boat jetty all line this stretch. The promenade is at its most beautiful just after rain when everything is clean and reflective.

Warasgaon Lake

The massive reservoir created by Warasgaon Dam. The lake has over 50 km of shoreline through forested hills. Best explored by boat — motorboat rides are available from the main promenade. The dam spillway is worth seeing when full during monsoon.

Temghar Dam

A smaller dam about 10 km from Lavasa on the road toward Tamhini. The dam overlooks a quiet valley — a good photography stop and far less crowded than the main Lavasa promenade.

Mugaon Village

An old village near Lavasa that predates the planned city development. The contrast between the old traditional village and the new European-styled Lavasa is interesting. Local dhabas here serve authentic Maharashtrian food.

Lavasa–Tamhini Ghat Road

The road from Lavasa continuing toward Tamhini Ghat is one of the most beautiful drives in Maharashtra — dense forest canopy, hill streams and occasional viewpoints. Best in monsoon when the waterfalls are flowing.

Daji Hill Viewpoint

A viewpoint above Lavasa offering a bird's eye view of the entire planned city and the lake below. Accessible by a short uphill walk or drive. Best at sunrise.
