Monsoon: June to September ⭐ Best for Scenery

The Sahyadris transform during monsoon — waterfalls everywhere, vivid green hills, dramatic mist. The Tamhini Ghat drive, Mulshi Lake and all the valleys are at their most beautiful.

Best destinations: Mulshi, Lavasa, Lonavala (Bhushi Dam)
Avoid: Fort treks (dangerous trails), Velhe and Pawna for active outdoor activities

October to November ⭐ Best Overall

The sweet spot — landscape still lush from monsoon, trails dry and safe, weather perfect. The best time for fort trekking at Velhe (Rajgad, Torna) and Pawna (Tikona, Tung).

December to February ⭐ Best for Comfort
